REQUIREMENTS

Machine tools have to be cleaned fundamentally as part of major repairs, 5-year overhauls and retrofit measures. During retrofit, the machines are also often completely dismantled.

Even when a machine is completely dismantled, cleaning with high pressure is ruled out, since the high pressures would lead to damage. The use of rags and brushes is often only of limited success, carries the risk of injuries, is in any case very time-consuming and is usually not in proportion to the result.

OUR SOLUTION – LOW-PRESSURE HOT-WATER TECHNOLOGY

Low-pressure hot-water technology is ideally suited to the repair of machine tools, since contamination and especially residues of cooling lubricant and cutting oil are loosened without any problem at 95°C and transported away without any problem at up to 7.5 or 14 bar. With the lances, even hard-to-reach areas can be reached and cleaned well, such as at the drive system or the spindle or in the tool magazine.

The method is therefore also regularly recommended by service technicians of leading machine-tool manufacturers.

In the field of retrofit, the units have proved their worth for decades. In most cases, the machine tools are hoisted onto special trays with forklifts or cranes, dismantled there and cleaned with the ph-cleantec units. Large areas and whole machines can be cleaned with the lances.

Stubborn contamination can be cleaned with brush attachments, complex surfaces with crevices, grooves, blind holes etc. with the appropriate nozzles.

Whole machines are frequently cleaned with units of the SRE family, individual parts in the parts-cleaning tray of the SR units. Since the ph-cleantec units are mobile, they can be pulled directly up to the respective machine tool and used there.

Thanks to the unique method – high temperatures and low pressure – the otherwise usual aggressive cleaners can often be dispensed with. This spares people and the environment and saves money.

Above all, the savings in working time compared with conventional methods, generally 80–90%, are enormous. This alone means the units usually pay for themselves after just a few months.
