REQUIREMENTS
Extrusion means the processing of plastics with the help of extruders or extrusion machines. Nowadays the most varied profiles – from the plastic cup to the window frame – can be produced. The respective material is usually cooled in a water bath after forming.
After obtaining the liquid plastic, this is pressed via a die into a so-called calibrator (tool) that has the shape of the later profile. In these thermal processes, waxes are released or also dosed in as a lubricant. These waxes harden in the system and therefore have to be cleaned regularly. For this, ultrasonic baths or relatively aggressive cleaners are often used.

OUR SOLUTION
The low-pressure hot-water technology grants optimal accessibility in the complex tools; among other things, the various cooling channels can be cleaned very well with our tools (nozzles). The units can also be used directly in the system, since the profiles are usually cooled in a water bath.
Thanks to the unique method – high temperatures and low pressure – the otherwise usual aggressive cleaners can often be dispensed with. This spares people and the environment and saves money. This does not rule out that, if required, corrosion protection and/or small quantities of alkaline cleaner can be dosed in.
Compared with the often-used ultrasonic baths, low-pressure hot-water cleaning is a considerably more efficient and faster process. In addition, with ultrasonic units, removed residual oil floats on the surface of the bath, and the cleaned calibrators have to be lifted out of the unit through this oil layer – whereby they become soiled again.
Finally, especially with large ultrasonic machines, considerable savings result in investment, since our units are generally considerably cheaper.

YOUR BENEFITS
- Efficiency: At up to 95°C, most waxes and lubricants are softened without any problem and cleaned off gently by the low pressure.
- Time saving: The calibrators are simply sprayed off; if necessary, brush attachments can be used and/or alkaline cleaners dosed in. This saves a lot of time.
- Quality: With the lances, hard-to-reach areas are reached effortlessly, and with the brush attachments and nozzles, even stubborn contamination can be cleaned.
- Medium: Generally hot water, possibly with the addition of small quantities of alkaline cleaner. This means considerable cost savings compared with ultrasonic baths.
- High occupational safety, since no risk of injury and no / hardly any chemicals.
- Easy handling motivates the employees.
- Comparatively low investment for a unit that can be used universally.
- Economy: Low investment, low running costs, but high time saving.
