CONVENTIONAL METHODS

Even in a professional setting, bicycles and motorcycles are still cleaned by hand, essentially with a garden hose and a cloth. This is time-consuming, especially in hard-to-access spots such as the wheel hub, gears, the insides of the brakes, ball bearings and cogs, and often delivers only unsatisfactory results.

Alternatively, high-pressure cleaners are often used; this, however, requires expensive cleaning facilities with dedicated installations, up to a high-pressure cleaner in a separate, tiled cleaning room with its own drain – with results that are not much better.

OUR SOLUTION

For cleaning bicycles and motorcycles, the low-pressure hot-water method – low pressure of up to 7.5 or 14 bar and high temperatures of up to 95 °C – is combined with large trays on which the bikes are cleaned. For bicycles, trays measuring 265 x 130 cm are usually used; other sizes – e.g. for motorcycle cleaning – are also available.

This covers all kinds of models, from a child’s bike to a cargo or recumbent bike, from a moped to a Harley-Davidson.

With the low-pressure hot-water method, contamination is removed quickly and easily even in hard-to-access spots such as the gears or the hubs, without causing any damage. The same applies to sensitive parts such as the hubs, from which no grease should be forced out, and the batteries of e-bikes.

The accompanying large trays can stand on fixed feet or castors. The bicycle or motorcycle can be pushed onto the large tray via a ramp, and the process water can be returned to the low-pressure hot-water cleaning device and recycled.
