REQUIREMENTS
When cleaning electric motors, what matters is a fast, damage-free and complete cleaning, often for inspection or repair. Oily windings, soiled bearing shields, rotors, bearing covers and much more are cleaned.
In precision mechanics, in summer or at high outside temperatures, care has to be taken that the cooling fins of the electric motors (and, if applicable, the heat exchangers) on the machine tools are dust-free and properly cleaned. Otherwise the cooling effect is not given, the bath temperature cannot be kept constant, and trouble-free operation is not ensured.

OUR SOLUTION
For cleaning electric motors – typically from 1 to 100 kW – our low-pressure hot-water units are an ideal alternative to the common methods, in particular the frequently used A1 brake cleaners or cold wash tables or bio wash tables.
Through the high temperatures – the units work with up to 95°C – the typical oily contamination is loosened ideally, and transported away by the low pressure, without causing damage.
This solution is also considerably more cost-effective than the alternatives, since cleaning is significantly faster and more thorough. Thus, expensive working time is saved to a considerable extent – our customers regularly need 80–90% less time.
Expensive chemicals are also saved, because our cleaning units usually manage even without the addition of chemicals. When chemicals are used, this is done in high dilution and can be used several times through our patented recycling process, which reduces the costs further.
In addition, doing without chemicals is environmentally and health-friendly and increases occupational safety for the employees.
Finally, very pleasant is the exceptionally easy handling: since the hot-water cleaning units are mobile, the motors can be cleaned directly on site, without dismantling and without travel times. If dismantling is nevertheless required, the motors can be cleaned quickly, thoroughly and effortlessly in the parts-cleaning tray of the SR units.

YOUR BENEFITS
- Efficiency/quality: Fast and thorough cleaning, especially of greasy and oily contamination. No damage to motor or winding of the slot insulation, since work is done with low pressure.
- Optimal accessibility thanks to various nozzles, also in cooling fins and bores
- Working time: Considerable time saving – generally 80–90% – compared with conventional methods, especially cold wash table or bio wash table.
- Chemicals: No/hardly any use of cleaners, in particular no hydrocarbons. Thus significantly lower costs for chemicals.
- Recycling of the cleaning medium reduces the costs, depending on the degree of contamination, by a further factor of 5–20.
- Mobility: Cleaning on site – units are mobile and largely self-contained.
- No special environmental conditions necessary as with high pressure – thus significantly lower investment and significantly easier handling.
- Occupational and environmental protection: No or only very little solvents or chemicals needed; this spares the environment, increases occupational safety and reduces costs.
- Universal possibilities of use of the hot-water cleaning units: These can be used e.g. for servicing and maintenance or for machine and parts cleaning.
- Overall: Comparatively low investment and hardly any running costs, but in return high efficiency and quality.
