REQUIREMENTS

Pipes and shafts, or in general workpieces requiring degreasing before further processing, are manufactured from various materials and in all conceivable dimensions.

Especially with units with slim internal diameters or great lengths, cleaning the inside of the body is a challenging task.

In practice, what generally matters is the residue-free removal of chips, oils and cooling lubricant as well as drawing greases from machining. After cleaning, the workpieces are either measured, assembled or surface-treated.

PREVIOUS TECHNOLOGY

Usually, such workpieces are cleaned with a high-pressure cleaner or with solvent-based chemicals. Both techniques are regarded as not result-reliable and not workshop-suitable. The high-pressure cleaner also requires special environmental conditions and is, by nature of the process, not very resource-saving.

OUR SOLUTION

The ph-cleantec low-pressure hot-water process offers an efficient and at the same time cost-effective alternative here. The low pressure of between 3 and 7.5 or 3 and 14 bar is sufficient to rinse out pipes and shafts without any problem. Through the high temperatures of up to 95°C, contamination is loosened and transported away even in internal threads.

Nothing is damaged in the process, and the method can be used in the workshop without people or the environment being affected. In most cases, (expensive and environmentally harmful) chemicals can also be dispensed with, since the cleaning effect is achieved via the high temperatures.

With normal lances, pipes up to 2 m long can be cleaned inside from one side, with telescopic lances even pipes up to 7 m long; if cleaning can be done from both ends, the reach doubles.

Of course, the process is also suitable for the external cleaning of shafts and pipes. Here the units of our 2000 series are often used, which have a sufficient rinsing performance to be able to clean pipes and shafts with three nozzles at 120° each.

YOUR BENEFITS

  • Efficiency/quality: Fast and thorough cleaning, especially of greasy and oily contamination. With the right spray accessories, also easy cleaning of long pipes – up to 14 m with a telescopic lance. Simultaneous cleaning inside and outside possible without any problem.
  • Automation: Easy integration into semi- or fully automated production processes.
  • No damage: Thanks to the low pressure, no damage to sensitive parts.
  • Mobility: Cleaning on site – units are mobile and largely self-contained.
  • Occupational and environmental protection, chemicals: No or only very little chemicals needed; this spares the environment, increases occupational safety and reduces costs.
  • Universal usability of the hot-water cleaning units: These can be used e.g. for servicing and maintenance or for machine and parts cleaning.
  • Economy: Considerably less working time when cleaning, no or hardly any chemicals.

Overall: Comparatively low investment and hardly any running costs, but in return high efficiency and quality.
