REQUIREMENTS

When cleaning components from aircraft, only very select and explicitly approved cleaning techniques and agents may be used. This naturally also applies to helicopters. The heavily structured surfaces are to be freed of oils and grease deposits, including abraded particles, ideally without much pressure.

CONVENTIONAL METHODS

Until now, only A III cleaners have been used for these applications, with considerable time expenditure. Both the cleaning result and the time required are not accepted in practice – as one of the employees made clear: the A III cleaners are “without any effect”.

OUR SOLUTION

The low-pressure hot-water cleaning devices are an ideal and cost-effective solution: low pressure of just 7.5 bar achieves the necessary flushing performance without damaging sensitive components. At the same time, the high temperatures of 95 °C provide maximum cleaning effect, so that work can be done quickly and efficiently.

  • Fast, efficient work – considerable time savings and markedly better quality than manual cleaning with A III cleaner.
  • Excellent cleaning results thanks to high temperatures of up to 95 °C and lances and nozzles that can reach even hard-to-access corners and angles.
  • No damage to sensitive parts, thanks to low pressure of 3 – 7.5 bar.
  • Low investment, minimal running costs.

It should be noted that our devices have been explicitly approved by the German armed forces for cleaning helicopters.

Cleaning a Chinook helicopter – down from 10 days with 4 people to 5 days with 4 people

YOUR BENEFITS

  • Efficiency/quality: considerable time savings thanks to fast, thorough cleaning:
  • High temperature and sufficient pressure enable fast, complete cleaning in a short time.
  • Specifically, our customer was able to reduce cleaning times from 10 working days with 4 people to under 5 working days with 4 people and 2 machines – with markedly better results than the previous manual cleaning.
  • Minimal space required: the devices are mobile and largely self-sufficient and need very little space; no dedicated wash rooms required.
  • The devices are versatile and perfect for parts cleaning, especially of greasy and oily parts.
  • Minimal splash-back, no droplet clouds, no aerosols – making them ideal in the workshop
  • Cleaning medium: in this case, hot water with a minimal addition of an alkaline cleaning agent was used. This implies minimal costs for procurement and disposal, especially as the cleaning medium can be reused many times over.
  • Considerably more pleasant, faster and more efficient work than by hand.
  • Occupational and environmental protection: no chemicals means greater environmental compatibility, greater workplace safety and significantly lower costs.

In summary: exceptionally low investment, minimal space requirements, barely any running costs – but high efficiency and quality.
