REQUIREMENTS
Small arms consist of several assemblies and are disassembled into these for cleaning. What has to be cleaned off is mainly oil residues from preservation, plus residues of propellants, environmental dirt and the like.
The geometries of the individual assemblies are so complex and intricate that the weapon operator can only clean them superficially with normal techniques. Especially for weapon overhauls in the police and armed forces, a professional, complete cleaning of the weapons is required. In the process, all weapon parts are inspected for serviceability, wear, micro-cracks and so on.
Weapon assemblies also have to be cleaned in production, of course, e.g. barrels after honing.
OUR SOLUTION
At a police headquarters in southern Germany, a low-pressure hot-water cleaning device now covers all the cleaning needs that previously went through a cold-cleaning washing table.
Here, the ability to clean “in the most impossible places” was a big plus. Among other things, a magazine well is cleaned on the inside through fixed springs. Even in very hard-to-access spots, such as the central mechanism in the grip, our technology achieves outstandingly good results.
The fast drying of the parts thanks to the heat introduced, and the temporary corrosion protection provided by the cleaning agents used, are rated very positively.
In contrast to the cold washing table used previously, working with VOC-containing solvents is also eliminated. This significantly increases workplace safety as well as compatibility with health and the environment.

YOUR BENEFITS
- Efficiency/quality: thanks to high temperature and the right spray tools (nozzles), fast, thorough cleaning – especially of the “most impossible places”.
- Fast drying of the individual parts and assemblies thanks to the high temperature.
- No damage to sensitive components.
- Cleaning in the workshop is easily possible: no aerosols, no VOCs, no droplet clouds, no splash-back.
- The devices are mobile and largely self-sufficient.
- Occupational and environmental protection, chemicals: only a little chemistry is needed for temporary corrosion protection; this protects the environment, increases workplace safety and lowers costs.
- Hardly any waste water: the process water can be used in a closed loop for up to 3 weeks. This saves chemicals and disposal costs.
- Versatile use of the hot-water cleaning devices, e.g. for servicing and maintenance or for machine and parts cleaning.
- Cost-effectiveness: considerably less working time for cleaning; less chemistry and less waste water.
- Overall: comparatively low investment and barely any running costs, but high efficiency and quality.
